This past year has been one of much turmoil, joys and sorrows.

The war in the ME drags on and soldiers die and get wounded. Every soldier on the killing fields who finds their self in harms way will grow stronger with each passing day. Most will return home more men and women then when they left. They will become tomorrows captains of America. I pray for all of them.

We elected a new President who is leading our country down a path that with each passing day will become more and more difficult to return from.

I find myself aghast at the near total corruption of our politicians on both sides of the aisle. The next time I pull the vote lever in the booth I will cast my vote for anyone who has not served in the past.

In spite of all that I hold out that we can turn this ship around...

As this new year dawns upon us I will again renew my commitment that began in the year of my 40th birthday. "to strive to be a better citizen, friend and positive contributor to those around me and the world in which I live".

To that end I wish you and your family the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of New Years and I pray the winds of success in all that you do are always at your back.
